The Tour Bus Music Show - Episode# 44 – Interview and Music With American Swindle

Welcome everyone to Episode# 44 pf the Tour Bus Music Show. I’m T. Michael Fairchild and I’ll be your host. It’s been a bit since our last show and it’s been time well spent. One of our biggest changes is that our former network, Audios Maximus, is now Thrive Media Network and you can find this show as well as many other great podcasts at our new website: ithrivehere.com. We’ve got a lot of great shows coming up this season with some extremely talented groups and artists. We’ll also be posting some video content of our summer adventures on our network site as well as on our main site at www.thetourbusmusicshow.com. Well first and foremost this show is about great music and today’s show is no exception. Today we are featuring American Swindle which is on powerful rock trio from the great state of Texas. I’ll be talking with lead vocalist and guitarist for the group, Joey Kilcommons, Mike Guidry laying down he bottom end on bass and Don Rosecrans on drums and vocals. I have to say that even though we experienced a few technical issues with our communications provider that night, the interview was a lot of fun talking to a group of guys that are as talented as they are down to earth. I had a great time interviewing them and am looking forward to seeing this group live as soon as the opportunity is available. Our interview ran just over 30 minutes and we’ll also feature four songs from their EP which is available along with a lot of other information about the band at: www.americanswindleband.com.

The songs we will be featuring in this episode are:

·        Goodbye Angel

·        Drifter

·        Where Did We Go Wrong

·        X’s For Eyes

Thank you everyone for taking the time our of your day to join us and ask you that if you like the show and want to help others to find it as well, please take just a moment to give us a positive rating on iTunes and tell your friends and family about the show.

Florida…A great place to visit, but an even better place to ROCK! Florida is known almost everywhere as a world class tourist destination for its attractions, resorts, its bone chilling roller coasters and even a little park that has a mouse in its house. But the thing that this state has produced year after year is some of the best rock bands on the planet. Recently on the Tour Bus Music Show, we have featured several groups from Florida such as Badwolf and Familiar Sin and today’s show is no exception, hailing from Deerfield Beach Florida our featured group is Oblivious Signal.

Made up of four powerful musicians; Christina Feliciano, Nick Orisino, Greg Andrews and Jason Talley have together created a musical Juggernaut that is ripping through the rock music scene as a force to be reckoned with. In today’s episode we’ll dig in to an in depth interview with Christina, Jason and Nick as well as feature four songs from their catalog.

Push Me Away

Inflicted Shame

What Drowns Out The Screams

The Nameless

In the bands time together their have garnered a reputation for a group that takes no prisoners. Their performances are an electrifying experience of heavy riffs combined with powerfully delivered, edgy lyrics performed with enough energy to power whatever city they happen to be in for the night.

The group has performed notable shows alongside other great bands such as Ecotren (Jump Suit Aparatus’s drummer's side project), The Material, Circle II Circle and has even placed them alongside members of the veteran hard rock group Testament.

Their follow-up album to their 2010 release, Into The Night is projected to be released in May 2013 and will feature their single Push me Away which is, of course, featured on this episode of the show.  Be sure to keep an eye out for the group on tour in summer 2013 and be sure to catch the album as soon as it is released.

Some dishes are best served RAW and there’s nothing closer to raw than rock bands. The power, the message and the music has been delivering that message for a long time. With all of the changes and styles in today’s music, it’s good to see that the message that has always been the backbone of rock music is not lost on a younger generation of musicians. Being outspoken, loud, blunt and unforgiving is in the very essence of what makes up some of the best rock bands of all time and it is what gets the message across. Familiar Sin from the Orlando, Florida area is one of those bands. Not only do they play the music, but they live the life. Founded in 2009 the band has spread their own brand of whisky and women fueled original rock music around the nation.

I had a chance to catch up with them a few weeks back for a candid, if not “revealing”, interview with the band. In our time together they paint a real picture of life on the road as a rock band bringing the party and all the debauchery that comes with it. They also share 4 of their songs with us to serve as the anthem living life on your own terms and to remind us that being a little bad can feel so good.

Welcome Tour Bus Music Show listeners and Leather Ladies around the world, this is T. Mic, your host and this is episode# 42 where again we will be featuring Familiar Sin from Orlando, Florida. Familiar Sin’s Bio:

When you think about rock and roll, does “Sin” not come to mind? Well, the Central Florida based four-piece Familiar Sin is always the first to bring both. Summer 2009 is when the Sin began and they haven’t looked back since. “The reason we started Familiar Sin is so we can Use Our Demons and Make Them Work for us”, says the front man CJ Orazi. Fueled by honey flavored whiskey, greasy rock and dirty women, they bring the party with them wherever they go, leaving a tattoo of their testimony. Familiar Sin IS getting down to the business of Jamming and Preaching the
Gospel of celebrating good old fashioned “Sinning”. This band lives its name and plays from experience. Managed by Mind’s i Entertainment, look for big things in the future from Familiar Sin. And ask yourself, “Am I a Sinner”? See you at the next show.... Familiar Sin.

Born To Be Wild… More than a song, more than the theme of a culture, and more than a way of life. It brings visions of life on your own terms, a sense of freedom and adventure. It could also bring to mind the living embodiment of the song in the remarkably talented and lovely Miss Jasmine Cain. Born in the heart of the iron horse territory; Sturgis, South Dakota, her life is the story of how hard work combined with talent can lead to a successful and rewarding music career, all without a record label pulling her strings.

Jasmine’s raspy, soulful voice and gypsy sprit weaves a spell that can enrapture the mind and entangle the heart as your listen to her singing stories that feel like they come from your own life. Combine that with her killing looks and disarming personality and you understand why after talking to her for five minutes you feel like you’ve known her your whole life. She’s friendly, down to earth and has a quick wit. But when she takes the stage in what is often more than crowds of 1000 to 5000 or more her stage presence burns hotter than the bright lights she performs under.

Welcome everyone to Episode# 41 of The Tour Bus Music Show. I’m your host T. Mic and it was my privilege to interview Jasmine Cain a few weeks back and I have to say it was one of my favorite interviews I have done in the over 40 shows of The Tour Bus Music Show. Normally our interviews can last from 20 to 30 minutes or so when I realized that towards the end of what was more of an interesting and enlightening conversation rather than interview, it astounded me that we had at that point been talking for almost an hour. It was a frank and honest conversation about her life, her experiences, the challenges of maneuvering successfully through the crazy business end of a music career, our mutual love of music, playing bass, singing and motorcycles.

One thing I learned about her in our conversation that behind her warm & charming personality is a brilliant songwriter and musician with a knack for drawing in support, endorsements and recognition of her talents. She is the current JPF Female Artist of the Year and Nashville’s Music City Mayhem two –time Female Rock Vocalist. She also hold a total of 8 JPF awards - the most awards ever to be awarded to any one artist from the JPF Association.

I just wanted to let you know about a few things going on here at the Audios Maximus Network and things happening in the coming weeks here on the Tour Bus Music Show. As we announced last week, we will be re-launching another music show of ours that has been on hiatus for some time. The On Stage Music Show will soon be back on the air with lots of great music and interviews with a number of very talented artists and groups from other music genres such as blues, lighter rock, jazz, acoustic and lots of other styles of music. The Onstage Music show will be back on the virtual air, as it is of the internet in mid-March and will be posted bi-weekly. We’ve got some great talent lined up and ready to bring to the world. You will be able to find out more after March 3rd by visiting us at www.amnpodcast.com/theonstagemusicshow. We will also be re-launching our Nue Muzik on the Double Planet show where for an hour per show, we will feature just the music from artists heard on The Tour Bus Music Show and The Onstage Music Show. Nue Muzik On The Double Planet will go live in Mid-April of this year.

We also have a big surprise for a new music show that we are currently working on that may launch as early as summer 2013. It is something that has had a tremendous popularity in the past and is still in high demand today. There are still lots of details and legality’s to work out before we can announce exactly what it is, but if we are successful in pulling it off, it will be worth the wait, so stay tuned here to The Tour Bus Music Show where we will be telling you more about this in the near future.  So it’s sufficient to say that we have a lot of great music shows coming in the near future and you will be able to subscribe to all of them soon, we’ll be letting you know how and where real soon.

Stay tuned to the end of the show and we’ll tell you about some great contests we will be having starting in March where you can win some cool prizes such as Autographed CD’s  from some of the groups that have been on The Tour Bus Music Show on past episodes.

Jasmine Cain’s Bio

With so many miles behind and so many miles left to travel, Sturgis, SD, native, Jasmine Cain, has paved a way for female rockers in the motorcycle culture.  Current JPF Female Artist of the Year and Nashville's Music City Mayhem two-time Female Rock Vocalist, she has set the standard and raised the bar. Living her life through her songs and gypsy spirit like a modern day Janis Joplin, she is a ghost on the road sitting next to you as you take your own musical journey.

With three self-released albums ("The Inside" 2004, "Locks & Keys" 2008, "Highway Prophet" 2011) and a newly released music video for her title track single, "Highway Prophet," Jasmine Cain has sold over 20,000 albums, and gained 5,000 views in the first week of her music video alone. She holds 8 JPF awards--the most awards ever to be awarded to any one artist from the JPF Association. Her performances are stadium-quality rock shows to audiences of 1,000-5,000 on average.

Jasmine Cain encompasses what a true artist is meant to be, taking the reins as the songwriter, lead vocalist, and bassist for her band of rebel rockers. Her songs are emotional, raw, and timeless. Her voice is a mixture of strong, aggressive, soul-filled attitude, while allowing you to feel a slight vulnerability that takes you on an emotional, super-charged ride. You can hear your own life story in every raspy note.

Her natural ability to capture and hold the attention of her audience has earned her several nationally known tours as the headliner for Easyriders Bike Show & Rodeo Tour for 3 consecutive years, main act for 7 years at the Full Throttle Saloon (which has now become a TruTV series), and the official touring band for Broken Spoke Saloons nationwide.

"Jasmine Cain is an old school rocker in a modern day package! Her band is loaded with great players, great songs, explosive energy and a bass playing, drop dead gorgeous lead singer who writes, records and rocks the mic on award winningsingles and heavy weight albums at every turn. This gal is bursting at the seams of the indie world ready for the biggest stages around!" -Brian Austin Whitney, Founder Just Plain Folks Music Organization (JPF)

"Jasmine Cain is THE REAL DEAL! Few new artists come to mind who encompass the essence of rock n roll.  Jasmine 's songs are filled with emotion as well as detail, putting you in the driver's seat as she takes you on a musical ride of imagery and diversity.  With an unrepentant spirit, Jasmine Cain is ready for lift-off. Lucky for us, the lift-off is NOW!-Mac, 97.1 RQQ- Nashville's Rock Station, Music Director/Afternoon Radio Personality

"In the twenty years that I have bee promoting events, the longest lines I have ever seen at a band's merch booth is at Jasmine Cain's booth.  They leave the audience wanting more and that's how I measure the success of a band" says John Green, Promoter for Easyrider Events.

Welcome back to The Tour Bus Music Show. It’s episode# 39 and on this show we will be featuring an interview and music with Farewell 2 Fear. Farewell 2 Fear is a 5 piece band that was launched in 2010.  With members hailing from several cities, the band is based in New Orleans, LA.  The band was signed to the Silent Majority Group (SMG) label in late 2012 and is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album currently slated to be released in Spring 2013. The group currently has shows scheduled across the south ranging from Louisiana to Florida with more to come in support of their new album in the summer of 2013.

F2F Is:

Mike Craig: Lead Vocals

Bob Bearden: Lead Guitar

Mojo: Guitar, Vocals

Jimmy Adams: Drummer

Jeremy Sevens: Bass

To date the group has released a single from their previosly released EP.The chart topping hit “Fire” from that EP is currently being played in heavy rotation on SiriusXM Octane. The group has also released another single, a rocking cover version of Rihanna’s hit song “Diamonds” which has landed as Texas’ Rock 108 #20 on their top 40.

As we think you will hear on this week’s episode, this band has a lot in store ahead for them and in our opinion from what we have seen so far, we think we are going to see great things for this group going forward.

You can find more information of Farewell 2 Fear at www.farewell2fear.com, http://www.reverbnation.com/farewelltofear and you can also connect with them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/farewell2fear as well as on their twitter account at www. twitter.com/farewell2fear.

F2F Bio (From Their Website)

Farewell 2 Fear was born out of the huge black hole that mainstream rock radio left during the absence of super rock stars like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Sound Garden.  Farewell 2 Fear revisits that era with big rock riffs, big choruses and big anthems for a new generation of mainstream rockers.  The band has members in New Orleans, Jacksonville and Lincoln.

Launched in 2010, Farewell 2 Fear was formed out of a passion for music with a message.  F2F music at the core is that of “empowerment” and endless possibilities.

The meaning behind the name: fear impedes all areas of our lives’, the day you say “Farewell 2 Fear” is the day you realize that you are free from any obstacle holding you back from living the life you were meant to live.  Couple that message in with talented vocals, awesome writing, killer guitars, bass and drums and you have F2F.

In late summer 2012 the band met former Creed, Sevendust and Paramore Manager, Jeff Hanson.  F2F was immediately singed to Hanson’s ADA promoted and distributed label, Silent Majority Group.  SMG is home to Tantric, Candlebox and Framing Hanley.  Under the A&R direction of Hanson the band co-wrote and produced the album New Blood with Brett Hestla (Dark New Day/Creed).

Farewell 2 Fear’s first single from the LP was exclusively released to SiriusXM’s Octane and debuted at number one on their playlist and landed at #8 on the listener generated “Big-Uns” countdown!  The band launched lyric videos on YouTube for “Fire” and a cover version of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” in January and generated over 50,000 views in the first 4 weeks.

It’s been a busy time here at the studio as we have been working on changes and great new shows for this season.  We‘ve got lots interesting interviews with independent, national and international bands as well as new shows where we will talk with music industry experts on how independent bands can plan, market  and manage their music careers to help take their band and music to the next level. We’ll be reviewing albums, concerts and talking about music industry news that impacts both bands and their listeners.

On this episode we’ll be talking to Adriel and Joey with Badwolf from Orlando, FL. We’ll talk about everything from the band’s inception, some of their major accomplishments and what’s coming next for this hot group. We’ll also feature 4 of their music tracks and lots more.

Members:

Randy Stephens, Adriel Garcia, Joey Parkes, Mike Stebe

Badwolf’s Bio:

Hailing from Orlando, FL, we are a new-rock band comprised of four extremely passionate and artistically fueled individuals.

Our music is the center piece of our worlds--our thoughts, efforts, hopes and dreams revolve around creating it and sharing it.

BADWOLF originated in May of 2011 when guitarist, Adriel Garcia (Atlanta, GA) and singer, Randy Stephens (Dallas, TX) relocated to Orlando after targeting central Florida as the launching site for the new-rock project. Thoughout the band's first months in Orlando, the two founding members succeeded in furnishing the BADWOLF project with a home studio and composing a catalogue of recordings. Poised for the band's highly anticipated debut album, BADWOLF acquired its third member and bassist, West Palm's own, Joey Parkes, towards the end of 2011. Shortly thereafter, the final and pivotal addition of South-Florida native, drummer, Mike Stebe, completed the band's line-up.

Welcome to episode# 37 of The Tour Bus Music Show. On this episode we will be doing something a little different. We will be featuring the “rebirth” of a band that was very influential on me, T. Mic, years ago when I was just an aspiring musician. The band we will be featuring is a group of musicians that were known around the southern United States and the original line up of Lillian Axe. But this is not the Lillian Axe that released records worldwide, performing in music videos on MTV and toured extensively throughout the 80’s and nineties. This is also not the current ass-kicking group of musicians that are known as the Lillian Axe of today. No, this was the original, hard rocking, take no prisoners, metal in your face 4 man group of Johnny Vines (vocals), Steve Blaze (guitar), Michael Maxx (bass) and Danny King (drums). As a phoenix reborn from the ashes of yesterday the reformed group now known as Circle of Light has recorded and released its current CD “Rebirth”. The album is comprised of 11 tracks of the band’s music from the early days. What is ironic about the album is even though the music was written 25+ years ago it sounds as fresh and timeless as if it were written in the modern rock era. The album was released on August 28, 2012 on CME Records.

The interview that we did with the group was done right after the CD release party at The Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans on August 11, 2012where they performed a scorching show to a packed house. We covered the performance there as well as having the privilege to see the group in its debut performance ironically opening for Lillian Axe at Fire in Jackson Mississippi a few months before. It was surreal to see a band that had not taken the stage together since the mid 1980’s come out not only sounding as good as they did back in the day, but even better with their audience singing along to every lyric even though they hadn’t heard these songs in over two decades…amazing. Both times we saw the group the completely obliterated the audience with their energy. pounding riffs, scorching solos, and a rhythm section that could give a fleet of pile drivers and jackhammers run for their money. Along with the interview we feature four cuts off of the album in a show that comes in at just over 40 minutes.

This has been a reunion a long time coming with fans waiting in the wings for it to happen. They played the anthems that rocked a generation of young southern fans in the eighties and all the while infecting the modern youth with nothing less than pure heavy metal made up of sweat, rock and 180 proof steel string poison.  Sufficient to say “The Boys Are Back In Town” and hopefully won’t be going away anytime soon!

Welcome back to another episode of The Tour Bus Music Show. On this episode we will be featuring Uncrowned. Based out of Atlanta, GA the band has faced down and beaten challenges in its 10+ years together that would have most bands running for the way out as we will discuss in the show. They have practically lived on the road touring their show through the United States many times over. The ethic that keeps them moving, Party hard and work even harder! The band's line up is:

Stephen Bazzell - Lead Vocals

Jack Andrad - Guitars/Vocals

Stuart Clark - Bass/Vocals

Scott Sellers - Drums

They have captured the attention of magazines, the press, terrestrial and satellite radio with their music being played in heavy rotation in several national markets. The band was featured in an 8 page article in Spin magazine. Uncrowned was the 14th most requested band overall on Sirius Octane for the first half of 2008 and was featured in an on-air interview with Octane that same year. They have had multiple tracks featured on MTV's Real World, Parental Control and other network shows. Their music has been featured in video games and in a rather extreme nod to their notoriety, they became only the second unsigned band in Hard Rock Cafe's history to have an instrument featured in their memorabilia collection, This is but a few of the accomplishments by a groups whose list of accolades continues to go on and on. In this episode Jack, the guitarist for the group and T. Mic discuss the history of the group, some more of their achievements, stories from the group's time together and some of the more extreme challenges the group has faced and persevered over. On this episode of the Tour Bus Music Show: Raw Rock Power is what powers this bus and let me tell you that after today’s show the tank is full and the bus is ready to roll. This T.Mic of The Tour Bus Music Show and our featured guest is no stranger to the Audios Maximus Network. We first interviewed him back on The Tour Bus Music Show – Episode# 7, he returned for the 2010 year end special. Heaven Below, is Fronted by Patrick Kennison on lead vocals & guitar, lead guitarist Jesse "Bawls" Billson, and rounded out by rhythm section John Younger on bass guitar & Aaron Rossi on drums, the band and their music has become a force to be reckoned with in the rock scene. Of course tonight’s featured guest is Patrick Kennison of Heaven Below!

Heaven Below has to its credit: Number 1 in sales at tradebit.com, top 10 on Amazon.com New Hard Rock Release Chart, Top 20 on Music Choice." These types of recognitions are typical of veteran rock bands, but Heaven Below has already taken home these honors in the short time this Los Angeles based unit has been together. "When Daylight Dies" took the radio airwaves by storm in 2010 with syndicated radio shows such as Hard Drive and The Rock 30 were spinning the Ben Moody (Evanescence) and has since been played on 50+ radio stations across the country. Press outlets such as Hard Rock Haven have hailed Heaven Below as "the next Guns N' Roses". The New York Examiner referred to their live performances as "unbridled balls to the wall ferocity". With the buzz and momentum of the band growing, the opportunity to tour and spread the word beyond radio and internet hype has been inevitable. The band has put 4 successful club tours under it's belt, sharing the stage with major artists such as Buckcherry & Avenged Sevenfold along the way. Since the release of their most recent album “Falling From Zero” the band has had some great opportunities that have presented themselves to bring their music to an even wider audience (more details on this coming soon) as well as pairing up to perform with great bands such as Queensryche , Steel Panther, Lynch Mob and many others.

Patrick shares with us on this episode what has been happening with the band, talks about the new album and some of the stories behind the music on their new album. Yes, Heaven below is going places and at a break-neck pace to be sure. They are also an exceptional rock act to see live. If they are coming anywhere near your town they are definitely a band to make the trip to see. In the meantime be sure to check out their album “ Falling From Zero” which is packed with some great tracks and a few surprises (but you will have to listen to the album to find them).  You can find out more information on Heaven Below at www.heavenbelow.com and remember you can also hear our previous interview with Patrick and Jesse on Episode# 7 of The Tour Bus Music Show at www.audiosmaximus.com & www.amnpodcast.com or at www.thetourbusmusicshow.com. Blues… It’s roots go back to the Mississippi Delta. It has told the stories of heartache as well as life’s pleasure and pain. It’s notes forged from the soul. It’s music has been grinded out of beat up acoustic guitars on front porches on hot southern nights and burned out of electric guitars, piano’s and blues harps in dark juke joints from St. Louis To Chicago. But on today’s show we’re goin’ to Baton Rouge, LA to sit down and talk to a modern bluesman who won Guitar Center's 2011 "King Of The Blues" competition, Jonathon "Boogie" Long. In an interview that runs almost one hour we'll dig into Boogie's story of how his life has been shaped by the blues and has recently come to be one of the hottest young blues players in the South. We'll also feature 3 cut's off of his soon to be released, self-titled album, Jonathon "Boogie" Long and The Blues Revolution.

The tracks we will be featuring are:

Blues Revolution

Bad Karma

Bad Day

The interview was recorded in early summer of 2012 shortly after the Baton Rouge Blues Festival.

We welcome you to join us for an interesting interview with a very dedicated and talented guitarist & vocalist and some great blues music.

You can find out more about Jonathon "Boogie" Long at: http://jonathonboogielong.com/

Some great upcoming dates to catch Boogie performing at are:

Live After 5  - Downtown Baton Rouge - 9/21/2012

We’ve got a great podcast show for you today. But it’s not for the timid, we’ve got Rana Freilich (Rana Frellich) and James Robinson from the New Zealand (by way of Texas) hard rock band Legacy Of Disorder. Legacy of Disorder wrapped their tour with shock rockers GWAR at the end of April and immediately hit the road again, this time touring with Fear Factory throughout May of 2012. Their sophomore album is titled “Last Man Standing” was produced by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Damageplan and Hell Yeah) and hit the #1 position on the Most Added Record on CMJ’s Metal Radio Chart this past spring!

To explain what this means I’ll quote a recent press release: The band scored 55 new adds, which means that in a week-long span, Legacy of Disorder impacted their album, 'Last Man Standing,' at radio, and more college stations reported it in their top five official adds than any other record added to new rotation. To put it in perspective, this is difficult for a well-established band to do, much less an up-and-coming one!

The bands lineup is:

·         James Robinson – Vocals

·         Rana Frellich – Guitars

·         Jason Keill – Bass

·         Matt Thompson – Drum

The band has been on a break-neck tour schedule for the earlier part of this year and has quite a bit more planned for later in 2012. In this podcast interview, T. Mic talks with Rana and James about the history of the band, the production of their newest album and digs in deep to really find out what makes this band tick, We talk about their recent tours with GWAR and Fear Factory and we take a look ahead at what in the near future for this hard rocking band from New Zealand.

We’ll also feature several tracks from their album “Last Man Standing” that is due to be released to the public in August 2012 including Last Man Standing, Treading The Tainted Path, Break and Hell Tonight.

The Full Track Listing For “Last Man Standing” is:

1.    Thorns

2.    Punish All

3.    March To The Death

4.    Last Man Standing

5.    Treading The Tainted Path

6.    Break

7.    Hell Tonight

8.    Impaler

9.    Warrior Gene

10. Came To Fight

Listening to the album previous to the interview “Sell The Lie” while being reminecient of the kind of straight forward music that has  always been great to listen to when you just want to rock, it also has traces of influences of great rock bands such as the Rolling Stones and Alice In Chains .  In the end, the album sounds great and serves as a reminder that rock is alive and well in 2012. T. Mic and I interviewed the members of Wheeler Brothers outside in Gonzales, LA. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and we were outside on the patio of a coffee shop, sitting around a table chit chatting like we’ve known them for years. They are a wonderful, talented and personable group. The five-piece act composed of Austin natives combines the gutsy indie vibe of the modern central Texas music scene with the longing strains of time-honored Texas folk. Brothers Nolan, Tyler and Patrick Wheeler met Danny Matthews at LSU where they spent their afternoons picking guitars and swapping stories in the bar rooms of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. When the brothers went back home, that’s when they added the rest of the band.

In this episode we go into detail with the guys about what makes the band tick and what goes into in creating the unique Wheeler Brothers sound. We’ll also play several tracks from their album Portraits.

The Wheeler Brothers Band Is:

Nolan Wheeler – Guitar/Piano/Vocals
Danny Matthews – Guitar/Vocals
A.J Molyneaux – Lap Steel/Guitar/Vocals
Tyler Wheeler – Bass Guitar
Patrick Wheeler – Drums

In this episode The Tour Bus Music Show is stopping by the “Jazz Lounge” with an interview and music with the extraordinary Matt Cusson.

Matt is the keyboardist for Brian McKnight and is an award-winning singer/songwriter and pianist in his own right. Ana and I sit down to talk with this gifted self-taught musician and get a picture of the man behind the music. We’ll also talk about his musical influences, such as Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Djavan, Miles Davis, and John Mayer, just to name a few.

A few interesting facts about Matt:

  • In 2009 Matt won (by unanimous vote) the John Lennon Songwriting Contest's top annual prize - the Maxell Song of the Year - for his jazz ballad "One of Those Nights".
  • 3 time winner of the amateur night competition at the legendary Apollo Theater
  • That song won the Billboard Songwriting Award in the Best Jazz Song category, and came in second in the International Songwriting Competition.
  • He’s also performed with, including Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, the Roots, Babyface, and Javier Colon.
  • He’s performed with Brian McKnight on "Live with Regis and Kelly"
  • He was a featured performer on the international "Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror" tour in 2010.
  • Perhaps more inspiring is his constant effort to share his talent by supporting various charities, such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Songs of Love, Defenders for Children, Hillcrest Educational Center and Community Resources for People With Autism, as well as his local food pantry.

We hope that you enjoy the show as much as we’ve enjoyed talking with Matt.

In this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show we sit down with Ekotren Guitarist Keith Finnell. Along with featuring four rocking songs from Ekotren, Keith takes us on a journey from the beginnings of the band to present and talks with us about their growing pains touring, recording experiences, and how the band keeps churning out great music despite that challenges of the modern recording industry and the lackluster economy that all bands are dealing with these days.

Listening to the band's music on ReverbNation is what first called our attention to them. Their playing style along with the voracity of their music grabs you by the bawls and starts slamming your head against the stage. That being said there is also quite a bit of diversity within the songs themselves. One minute you are listening to pounding hurricane of hard rock and the next you are in the eye of the storm with acoustic guitars and pristine harmony vocals and then it takes off into a grandiose mix of powerful chords and melodies and then before you get your bearings it's back to ripping you head off with the pounding drum and guitar assault.

The band has been touring in recent times with groups such as Staind, Chevelle, ill nino, (hed) pe, Powerman 5000, Straight Line Stitch, and Diecast. Their most recent release, The Dead Of Night was produced by Paul Trust and achieved an overall tighter, aggressive, and professionally produced album than it's predecessor. That being said, 2008's Light the Fire was and remains a very good album in it's own right.

We hope you enjoy the interview. You can find more information about Ekotren and purchase their swag by visiting the links below and the ones mentioned in the podcast.

This episode on The Tour Bus Music Show we have a special treat for all of you. A artist whose voice is seductive, sultry, and has the sound of many years of experience that can be deceiving if you have never heard her before. She is just as attractive as she is talented and brings both to bear in her performances. Our featured artist to day is Lauren Light. She hails from Lexington, North Carolina and has been featured on television, and has making a huge splash into the music scene this year from winning Kernersville Idol, being a Nominee in the Carolina Music Awards 2011 for Rock Female, and getting runner up for “Go Triads” Best New Act. She just recently opend for Dia Frampton and has already been tapped for licencing her music for commercials.

We ran across her on Reverb Nation while scouting new independent talent for the show. When we first heard her voice, we were blown away and immediately wanted to bring this new talent to all of you. On this episode we talk to Lauren about her about a variety of topics relating to her about her music and her unique approch to getting into the music business. While we won't say too much about her approch here, it is something that new musicians especially should listen to. She is soon to start recording her first full length album and with the talent, drive and intelligence that she posesses it will make for a lethal one-two punch that is bound to create a bright and busy future for Lauren and her band.

On this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show T. Mic speaks with one of rock’s legendary bassists, Rudy Sarzo (www.rudysarzo.com) before their show at Baton Rouge’s Varsity Theatre briefly about his career, his current involvement Dio Disciples and his long association and friendship with Ronnie James Dio (www.ronniejamesdio.com). Dio Disciples is the band of the late Ronnie James Dio. They have been touring the world in celebration of the life of Ronnie and to raise awareness of cancer, the early detection and treatment for the disease. Ronnie passed away at 7:45 am (CDT) on May 16, 2010, of metastasized stomach cancer.

We also speak about the current tour, what’s in the future for the band and the non-profit fund started by Ronnie and his wife Wendy Dio. The Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable fund dedicated to support cancer prevention research, raise awareness and educate the public with the focus that early detection and prevention is of vital importance when dealing with this deadly disease that robs families of it's loved ones.

We at the Audios Maximus Media Network and The Tour Bus Music Show encourage our listeners to contribute towards this cause and helping to put an end to this terrible disease that has claimed the life of Ronnie as well as so many other wonderful people in this world before their time. On a personal note T. Mic and Ana of Audios Maximus has lost grandparents as well as other close family members and friends to cancer. This is one cause that we all can get behind. Welcome to Episode# 21 of the Tour Bus Music Show. On this episode we will be featuring an interview with Geoff Tate (www.geofftate.com) of the legendary rock band Queensrÿche (www.queensryche.com). Back on our December episode (episode# 9) of the Tour Bus music show, Geoff alluded to the fact that the band was working on music for what was to be an experimental new album. We now know that the album that he was speaking about is “Dedicated To Chaos”. The album is a definite evolution of the bands’ sound and writing style. After listening to the album several times both with headphones and out loud (anybody that has listened to Queensrÿche extensively knows about their elaborate production techniques, which makes listening through headphones an equally elaborate experience). Speaking as a longtime Queensrÿche fan I can speak to the fact the new album is very different than any other album from the group. That being said, I think that the album has a fresh new sound, content that is relevant to the time we live in and is as good,  if not better than any album in the Queensrÿche catalog.

Now on to the conversation that Geoff and T. Mic had. We discussed not only the album but the tour that the band has been currently engaged in. The tour celebrates Queensrÿche’s 30th anniversary and the band will be performing music not only from the new album but across their career. According to Geoff, fans can also expect the exceptional stage show that the band is well known for.  Geoff and T. Mic also discuss a variety of other topics regarding the band, their history, and some of what is to come with Queensryche. We also preview four tracks off of “Dedicated to Chaos” on the show and find out the inspiration behind some of the music on the album.

Thank for joining us on Episode# 19 of The Tour Bus Music Show. Rocking the world from Southern Louisiana. On this episode we’ll talk with Jeremy Edge, the lead guitarist, of Williamsport, PA’s Candlelight Red. This band has been hitting the radio airwaves and the internet music scene with the impact of a Juggernaut. Having hit the ground running Candlelight Red beat out over 10,000 bands to win Guitar Centers On-Stage Competition. In which they won a $10,000 shopping spree and Guitar Center along with being hand picked by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons to win the coveted spot of opening for one of the ultimate rock legends, KISS in 2010. Since then their momentum has only increased with them continuing to share the stage with some of today’s best rock groups such as Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Staind, Lacuna Coil and Three Days Grace. The bands’ lead axe slinger Jeremy Edge takes a few minutes out of their busy touring schedule with Saving Abel to talk with T. Mic about the history of the group as well as what is currently going on now and the near future for the band.

CANDLELIGHT RED IS:

RYAN HOKE - LEAD VOCALS

JEREMY EDGE - GUITAR/BACKING VOCALS

JAMIE MORRAL - BASS GUITAR/BACKING VOCALS

JOSH HETRICK - DRUMS

With the group’s permission we’ll also feature four songs from their soon to be released album, The Wreckage on Imagen Records and talk about the story behind several of the songs off of the album. Produced by David Ivory, The Wreckage stands as a testament to hard work and talented musicianship. The whole album has a great sound and in T. Mic’s opinion there is not a track on the album that doesn’t ROCK! We’ll be featuring their hot single “Closer” as well as the groovin’ rocker “In Your Hands”. The guys also cover a cool version of Roxette’s “She’s Got the Look” and we wrap up the show with the driving song Gone Forever.

Jeremy also discusses his past and what led him to a career in music and a life of the road. As a matter of fact that is exactly where he called in from as he was in transit during the course of our interview. Candlelight Red’s new album will be released at the end of September 2011.  Information on the band, their tour dates and current news can be found at www.myspace.com/candlelightred and www.reverbnation.com/candlelightred

The Tour Bus Music Show - Episode# 18 6/26/2011 - Interview And Music With World Renowned Bassist Michael Manring

In every generation, there is one…or maybe two bassist that changes the rules and for that matter the whole concept of what can be done on and with a bass guitar. The late great Jaco Pastorius was one of the masters of bass guitar that expanded the world of bass guitar with his astounding ability and talent. However, it was his student that took the bass to new heights and along with Joe Zon designed one of the finest and most unique bass instruments on the planet…The Zon Hyperbass, Michaels’ signature instrument. With it he continues to stretch the very boundaries of the bassists’ realm.

Michael has had and continues to have an outstanding career having performed and collaborated with the very finest musicians in the world. He has performed every type of music from New Age to Rock and Jazz to Fusion. His solo work has been some of the most innovative music ever composed for bass guitar including a work entitled “ My Three Moons” off his album “Thonk” where he simultaneously plays three basses at once with remarkable prowess. We have included a link to the video of him performing this feat on our web site at www.audiosmaximus.com.

In this episode of the this episode of  The Tour Bus Music Show we sit down with Michael for an in depth interview where we discuss his career and experiences such as his friendship and collaboration the late acoustic guitar master and performer Michael Hedges. We’ll also get inside his head where he shares with us his unique perspective on the bass guitar, life in general and what helped contribute to making him the remarkable bassist he is today.

In a personal note, I am a bassist myself (T. Mic), Michael Manring has been one of my personal favorite bassists for many years and has had a profound influence on my own playing style. It was a privilege and honor to conduct this interview and I wish to extend my personal thanks to Michael Manring for taking the time out of his busy schedule to talk with me for this interview.

You can find out more information on Michael Manring and current dates for his concerts and clinics on at www.manthing.com.

The Tour Bus Music Show – Episode 17 Friday June 12, 2011 – Interview and Music with George Porter, Jr.

In this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show on the Tales From The Back Of The Bus we are going to get funky in an interview with New Orleans/Gonzales, LA based bassist extraordinaire ,George Porter, Jr. (www.georgeporterjr.com) (www.funkymeters.com), To say that we’re going to get funky in retrospect is not quite correct because it is hard to pigeon-hole a man of Mr. Porter, Jr.’s  talent into just one genre of music.

He has, in fact, not only is he a founding member of The world famous “Original” Meter’s but played just about every type of music there is on the side of some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as having as exception solo career as a vocalist, guitarist, and bassist in his own right. To say he is still in demand is to put it mildly. At 63 years young, George’s schedule performing with his four, mind you that’s four, primary bands, his “Solo” shows and all of the gigs he still performs with various other bands and artists would leave a younger bassist with his head spinning. He has recorded on to many albums to count with other great artists.

Busy? Yes – In Demand? Yes – Exceptionally Talented? A Resounding Yes – Someone You Need To See and Hear? Without A Doubt – On The Tour Bus? He is In The House!. Join us in a rare candid interview with George Porter, Jr. as we sit in the comfort of one of his beautiful home near the historic Houmas House Plantation and discuss his experiences of a lifetime playing all over the world as well as his beloved New Orleans with artists and bands such as The Meters, The Funky Meters, Dr. John, Irma Thomas, Professor Longhair, Robert Palmer, Patti LaBelle, Earl King, etc.

We’ll also play several songs of his during the course of the show. This will also be the first in our series of “The Bottom Line” shows where we will be featuring some of the finest bassist in the music industry and the world for that matter. You can look for upcoming shows that will be featuring Michael Manring, Tony Franklin, and many more outstanding bass players.

In this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show on the Tales From The Back Of The Bus Interview Segment we will be featuring Cardinal Collide, a 4 piece progressive rock band from Baton Rouge, Louisiana (http://www.reverbnation.com/cardinalcollide). We had the chance to catch up with the guys; James, Derek, David & Tweezy a few weeks ago in the midst of finishing up their new album, Ghosts Outside Your Window, and talked with them on a variety of topics.

It was a great interview that lasted over an hour and a half long. We went in-depth with the band into their songwriting process, personal experiences, the challenges and the triumphs they have faced in their time together.

Their music is inspiring and touching as the explore the human condition through their music and lyrics. In their live shows they come across powerfully and clearly and a performance that is just as enjoyable visually as it is audibly. Join us in hearing about this great band by listening to the podcast in it’s entirety as we explore the music, the people and the experience that is uniquely Cardinal Collide.

In this episode The Tour Music Music Show is transported oversea's for an interview in the outback with hard rock powerhouse group, Strange Karma. Paul Strange (Lead Guitar & Vocals) and Martin Strange (Lead Vocalist) chat with T. Mic on the history of the group through it's initial tours through Europe and their recent tour of the midwest and west coast of the United States.

Their most recent release Volume 1 showcases the group as a hard rocking, tight sounding group with a hint of the classic hard rock sound that makes them fairly unique in this day and age. That's not to say that the group isn't serious competition for any modern rock group. With the drive of a tank this band has faced and conquered challenges that would have left lesser bands running for the hills.

The experience, hard rockin' style, and great live performances of this group recently in the States has left major venues and talent reps. clamouring for more. Just how soon can we expect them back in the United States on tour is a matter currently being planned by the band and their management. Until then we can only check out their album, Volume 1, from which we feature four songs this episode: America, Down and Out, Fame and Mind Games and hope they'll be back stateside, rockin' soon.

You can check out their news, tour dates, and other information on the band at:http://www.strangekarma.net/ and www.myspace.com/strangekarma.

The Tour Bus Music Show - 011 3/30/2011 - Tales From The Back Of the Bus (Alternative Music) - Interview And Music With Winbourne From Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Welcome to our interview segment of The Tour Bus Music Show. On this episode we will feature Winbourne from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We caught up with the band short after they returned from their performance at South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. Winbourne was kind enough to take some time away from their rehearsals at the Healing Place Dream Center in Baton Rouge and let us in on what has been going on with the group, their collective history, information on their current EP and the upcoming release later this year of their full length LP.

Our interview is about 1 ½ hours in length including music and was interesting, entertaining, and informative. Over the course of the interview we feature four songs off of their 2010 EP entitled “As We Are”. The songs we feature are (In order): “Let Me Love You, Street Signs, Easy and What Were You Thinking”. The background music in the beginning of the interview is an instrumental version of “Retrospect”

We were not only impressed with their music, but with each of them. Their personalities, charm, and genuineness as individuals made the interview a pleasure in itself. We at Audios Maximus Media Network recommend that you make the opportunity to see them live as well as purchasing and adding their music to your collection. They are defiantly worth hearing time and again.

www.myspace.com/winbournemusic

Their EP is available at many music retailers online including Amazon and iTunes.

***Winbourne was founded in 2008 and has been setting their audiences on fire with their energy, talent, and passion for what they do. Music…and they do it well. Jordan, Chris (Doogie), Matt, Torrance and Terry are committed to their craft and it shows in everything they do. In our research on local music acts the first thing that drew us to the group was their music. It was positive, well written, masterfully arranged & produced.

Winbourne has been featured in The City Social, Tiger Weekly, The LSU Daily Reveille, 225 Magazine, and The Advocate. The band’s sound can be described as as alternative rock. Winbourne entered the Baton Rouge music scene by storm playing at every popular local venue including Chelsea’s, The Varsity and college gigs not to mention they have joined forces with other popular local bands such as Jake Smith.

With a rapidly growing fan base flocking to its Myspace, Twitter, and Facebook web pages, Winbourne has received avid local support of their originals. Fans’ favorites include “Easy,” “Let Me Love You,” and “Street Signs”. Fresh out of the studio the band’s focus is spreading their music to the world on their new pilot EP album “As We Are”. The six track record is now available on iTunes and at live shows.

Their loyal south Louisiana fan base now spreads outwards in hot response to their EP and enthralling live performance. Winbourne is preparing to get back in the studio to release a full length LP in the spring of 2011. In the mean time they continue to play locally and regionally as well as prepare for stage time in a slew of music festivals within the southeastern U.S. Whether blasting their live performances from the stage or rocking their “As We Are” EP through your own speakers, Winbourne will inspire you to Live Loud.

Welcome back everyone to the Tour Bus Music Show 2.0. What's the whole 2.0 about? I'll be happy to share...We have been on hiatus from podcasting for a little longer than expected. However, it was necessary. In the time we have been off we have been going through lots of changes, both personally and professionally. All positive! What has amazed us more than anything is our wonderful community of listeners...all of you! Thank you all for continuing to listen to our episodes while we have been on hiatus. We are back and now it's our turn to return the favor. Ready To Rock?

In this week’s episode, hosted by T. Mic, we will be updating you on The Tour Bus Music Show's new format, music news, our featured artist of the week (our artist/album review), a brief update on concerts coming to our area and a lot more!

The Tour Bus Music Show and The OnStage Music Show have now been merged into one show.

The Tour Bus Music Show will now feature all genre's of music, but will continue to bring you the most talented bands from around the US and internationally.

Our the show will now consist of three parts:

The main show that will be bringing you music related news, discussions, reviews of new music, updates on new interviews and other music and band related information. This portion will continue to be released on a bi-weekly basis.

"Tales From The Back Of the Bus" (our interview segments) will be released separately from the main show but will be released under the same RSS feed so that you will continue to get automatic downloads of the interviews along with the main show so you won't miss a thing.

In local music news, spring is in the air, flowers are in bloom, and local bands are kicking out great new music faster than rabbits on viagra. Big Frank has released their long-waited new album entitled Franco Grande. We had the chance to catch their show a couple of weeks ago and they were in usual bone-crushing form headlining a local club, Xtreme’s Sports Bar & Grill in Gonzales, LA. Ben, P. Fridge, Matt & Klipstein were taking no prisoners and rocking a packed house. Check them out at reverbnation.com/bigfrank and support them by getting their CD. Other bands releasing new albums this spring include upcoming guest’s on the Tour Bus Music Show such as Cardinal Collide, as well as Black Market Halos, Poltern Kinder with their new album, Feral (available at iTunes). Lillian Axe has welcomed their new vocalist Brian Jones to the ranks and have dived right in to recording their new album tentatively scheduled for late summer/early fall release. Both me and Ana were treated to a preview of one of the tracks for the new album while visiting with Steve and his wife recently entitled “Take The Bullet”. The band has now placed the song as a sample track on their website at LillianAxe.com and is now available to listen to. Lillian Axe will be debuting Brian at 2 shows on April 8, 2011 at The Howling Wolf in New Orleans, Louisiana and on April 9, 2011 at FIRE in Jackson, Mississippi. Check their website or our concert calendar for details. Speaking of Lillian Axe, for those of us who grew up around Louisiana in the 80’s and got to the see the original line-up of Lillian Axe prior to them being signed to MCA records, we have good news! The Original line up of the Axe is back together under the name Circle Of Light. That’s right, Steve Blaze, Johnny Vines, Mike Maxx, and Danny King will soon be rocking some of their original songs as well as new ones starting around this may. They are also in production of an album themselves. Details will be announced in the near future. Again keep an eye and ear for that matter on our concert calendar that can be found at www.audiosmaximus.com in both blog and audio versions.

It will be a good summer concert season if you are into classic rock, I’m not saying that there will not be a lot of great many modern acts out there this summer, but there are several notable classic acts coming to the southern United States area on tour this summer. Just giving you a heads up for Southern Louisiana and South Mississippi Area (and by the way) check out The Tour Bus Concert Calendar this coming week for more dates and details. As we said earlier, we have been checking out and listening to a number of bands during our hiatus and we wanted to pass on some great bands and music that we have found. While they are not a new band, this weeks pick is  “In This Moment” from Hollywood, California. This band has been around for several years and released their newest album, “A Star-Crossed Wasteland” in mid 2010. For those of you who have not heard of or checked out this band, if you like hard rock, they are a “must-listen-to-band”. The band of extremely proficient and talented musicians: Chris Howorth on Lead Guitar, Blake Bunzel on Rhythm Guitar, Jeff Fabb on Drums and Travis Johnson on bass, with their alluring and powerful vocalist Maria Brink area a force of nature when they come together to make music. From haunting melodies to a vicious, shredding musical assault on their, let’s say…more energetic songs, this band’s music is addicting as we found ourselves wanting to listen to them everyday. On the first track of “A Star Crossed Wasteland” you press play on pur CD or MP3 player and you are yanked forcefully into the middle of a Category 5 grade mosh pit and are left to wonder how this proverbial wall of sound came crashing down on your head. While the mood and sounds change throughout the album, the entire album is full of great tracks, especially the more commercial sounding (if they can actually sound commercial) “The Promise”  which features a duet with Maria and Otherwise’s Adrian Patrick. We encourage you to checkout their website, their videos on YouTube and on tour. Their current releases to date are: Beautiful Tragedy (2007), The Dream (2008) and of course A Star Crossed Wasteland (2010).

Wow, what a whirlwind it has been these past several months. Lots of changes, late nights, crazy schedules… life has felt like a revolving door and at times not know if we were coming or going. To say the least it has been a challenge at times to balance our work schedules at our main jobs, family, pets, and turning what started as a hobby podcasting into a full blown production company. There have been times along the way when balance in life has seemed like a distant dream but all in all it has worked out. Don’t get me wrong, we are not complaining, as a matter of fact the sharing of our passion for podcasting about the topics that we do has been a vast reward in of itself. We love connecting with not only the people and now friends that we work with and interview, but also connecting with our community of listeners and friends across the internet and world for that matter. Not much inspires us more than to wake up in the morning and looking forward into the coming day knowing that we’ll have a chance to interact with so many people that we did not know the day before and the chance to learn from their perspective on life as we interact. Overall, the journey has required a lot of dedication and energy, but it has been a blast and we are looking forward to many, many more years doing what we love to do!

Along with the other changes we have had a few personnel changes. Scott “Bozo” Hood has decided to take some time for more pressing matters in his life and has, at least for the time, stepped down from his duties at Audios Maximus and we wish him nothing but continued success and prosperity no matter where life takes him. However, we have been joined by none other than my brother, Kenny to help keep us on track and to help take Global Stage Media and Audios Maximus Media Network to the next level. Kenny brings with him an extensive amount of talent, drive, and personality to the network. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from SoutheasternLouisianaUniversity and he will be a very valued Partner/Owner in our network and production company.

Along with our change from a hobby to an actual functioning company we have also had to perform our due diligence and legalize our company. As we take these next steps we have registered with the IRS, filed our LLC, working to get our business license, trade marking, and registering to pay sales taxes as necessary on sales of future digital products. Yes, formally going into business can be challenging but exhilarating experience. But worth every minute of it.

Now that we are back we have got some great groups coming up in the next few months. Nonpoint will be joining us in May. We will also have several other great bands joining us over the course of the spring & summer such as Southern Whiskey Rebellion, Cardinal Collide, Winbourne as well as major acts. Once Again keep an eye on our blog and listen to The Tour Bus Music Show for details. As far as our production schedule, it’s full throttle and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Along with other changes our community can expect some changes to our websites look and feel over the next couple of months as we prepare to add many more interactive features to engage you, our listeners with and to improve the overall efficiency and control of it’s features and add our new community forum & discussion board. We welcome your comments and encourage you to e-mail us at feedback@audiosmaximus.com or call us on our listener feedback line at (206) 338-1478 to tell us your ideas on what we can add or change to make your experience better on our site. We want to hear from you!

We hope you enjoyed this episode of The Tour Bus Music Show. Again, keep an eye on our upcoming concert calendar, which again will be released both on our blog and on this same podcast feed on the opposite weekends from this show. Also keep an ear our for our interview segments, Tales From the Back Of the Bus, which will be released on this same RSS feed as well. Of course all of the Tour Bus Music Show segments can always be found on our website at www.audiosmaximus.com, on iTunes, Zune, and Blackberry podcasts and on many other podcast directories online.

The Tour Bus Music Show - Episode# 006 10/10/2010 - Interview and Music with Steve Blaze of Lillian Axe

Episode# 006  10/10/2010  The Tour Bus Music Show – Steve Blaze Of Lillian Axe

In this weeks episode we will be featuring Steve Blaze of Lillian Axe. Lillian Axe has experienced almost everything playing music professionally has to offer…monster tours, major record label contracts, music videos (when MTV still played music videos), fame, fortune, and performing to millions of fans in their amazing career and even after 25+ years they are showing no signs of slowing down. They have just released their 10th album, Deep Red Shadows and been honored by being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall Of Fame. The only thing that these things have done is fan the flames even hotter for this veteran rock band and drive them to accomplish even more.

Steve Blaze, the founder and one of the amazing guitarists in the group, sits down with me Bozo, and Ana for an amazing 90 minute interview. We feature tracks from Deep Red Shadows and he shares with us what is currently happening with the group, their past, and what’s coming in the future for the group. He also provides us with his insight and experience in the music industry and the changing trends of listeners, fans, and music in general.

Steve had plenty to say and we were treated some extreme hospitality on his part of allowing us to do the interview in his personal studio. He introduced us to his wife, Julie & his daughter, and in a real surprise to us, his handsome little son, Jude. I, T Mic, had been acquainted with Steve for many years and knew he was a good guy, but sitting down with him for a few hours while recording this interview and talking with him off the record before and after. I have to say that I never had a clue as to what a kind & respectable man he was and that he has more good character than any pro musician I have ever known.

The episode is 120 minutes and 11 seconds in length, which is longer than any episode we’ve done to date. But in the editing process we found that there was just such an abundance of good content that we didn’t want to take away from the experience by cutting it. Therefore, I would recommend that if you don’t have time to listen to it all at once, break it up and listen to it over a few sessions. But listen to the full interview, none the less. It was great!

You can find out more information about Lillian Axe at: www.lillianaxe.com  for band info, booking information, to purchase their albums, or to get any of their cool swag.

Thanks again to Steve for taking the time to talk with us and his hospitality while conducting this interview and being so accommodating during the production of this episode.

Look for our next show coming 11/26/2010 when we will be featuring Patrick Kennison & Jesse “Bawls” Billson of HEAVEN BELOW.
